Bookings now open for M&S Food Summer Football Camps

The Irish FA Foundation has launched its Summer Football Camps for 2024.

Sponsored by M&S Food, the five-day camps for boys and girls aged five to 11 will be running across Northern Ireland throughout July and August.

A total of 48 camps are set to be staged at venues in the country’s 11 council areas between 1 July and 23 August.

And each of the M&S Food camps is offering a girls-only section for parents/guardians who prefer that option.

Part of the foundation’s grassroots football development programme, the sessions provide opportunities for children to develop and improve their football skills in a structured environment with trained and vetted staff.

Claire Rea from the Irish FA Foundation said: “There will be lots of fun games and activities at the camps as well as the opportunity to work on skills development and to get outdoors and meet up with and make new friends.

“Irish FA staff are delighted to be delivering football camps across the country. Alongside their excellent support staff, they are looking forward to building on the success of previous camps and helping children keep active.”

Each year thousands of kids take part in foundation-run football camps staged during Easter and the summer holidays.

M&S Food sponsors the camps as part of its partnership with the Irish FA and Northern Ireland’s international teams. The M&S/Irish FA ‘Eat Well, Play Well’ campaign is using the power of football to help families make healthier eating choices.

Places on the summer camps must be booked online. There is a sibling discount, and there is a limited special offer for bookings made before 1 June.
