Mcguinness Grabs Brace As Linfield Ladies Reach Quarter-Finals

Amber Dempster also got her name on the scoresheet for the Blues at The Showgrounds in what was a repeat of last season's final.

The Blues will be joined in the quarter-finals by Comber Rec. Ladies who have a Laura Stewart inspired hat-trick to point to on their way to a 5-1 win over St. Matthew's Ladies while Stacey Bryce also helped herself to a couple of goals.

Last season's two losing semi-finalists, Sion Swifts Ladies and Glentoran Belfast United locked horns at Strabane's Melvin Sports Complex with the Swifts emerging 4-2 victors on penalties.

Highest scorers on the night were Crusaders Strikers who hit seven without reply past Lisburn Ladies while Cliftonville Ladies, Coleraine Ladies and Mid Ulster Ladies all grabbed five apiece on their way to the last eight.
