Football Fun In The Sun

The three day camps were fun filled days, during which all the young players learnt new skills, made new friends and enjoyed their football in the fantastic weather.

Newry, Mourne and Down’s new Irish FA Grassroots Development Officer, Seamus Heath was delighted with the success of the camps in his area: “The glorious weather conditions mixed with quality coaches and enthusiastic young players made the three days very enjoyable.

“The talent in our country is exceptional and we aim to encourage and enhance all our young players along their football pathway.”

Irish FA Grassroots Development Manager, Ian Stewart visited most of the camps and was pleased with the activities on show.

“It was so refreshing to see so many happy faces having so much fun,” said Ian.

“The success of our senior team has certainly created a good feel factor throughout the country and hopefully we can all build on it.”

With the summer not far away the dates for this year’s Nutty Krust Holiday Camps will be released shortly.
