SCORE PILOT PROJECT CONCLUDES

THE Irish FA successfully received €50,000 from the UEFA HatTrick programme in November 2011 for the SCORE Pilot Project.

Focusing on three core elements of education, development and competition, the project has proven to be a huge success.

Headlines achievements include:

·          34 out of 44 NIWFA clubs participated;

·          55 coaches completed a coach education award (38 females & 17 males);

·          2,379 girls and 120 schools involved in a five week schools coaching programme;

·          105 new players joined clubs as a consequence of the schools coaching;

·          34 teams and 420 players participated in the IFA National Girls’ Football Festival;

·          £20,636 worth of media coverage generated by the project

·          In total, 3,338 girls participated in the various elements of the project.
