VIDEO: DEFINITE PROGRESS IN WOMEN'S GAME

Release Date: 19/09/2012

NATIONAL Women’s Coach Alfie Wylie believes that definite progress has been made in the women’s game in Northern Ireland in the last 18 months.

Speaking ahead of his side’s final UEFA Women’s Euro 2013 qualifier against Belgium at Windsor Park tonight (630pm), Wylie said: “Although we would have liked a few more points, we have some great results including beating Norway and gaining valuable points away from home.  I think overall we have added to the strength of the squad with the number of young players coming through, and several of the senior players have now passed the 50 Cap mark.”
