NORTHERN IRELAND HOST U17 WOMEN QUALIFYING GROUP

NORTHERN Ireland Under 17 women embark on their UEFA European Championships as they take on Israel, England and Italy in their qualifying group.

Northern Ireland are coming off the back of a strong performance against Scotland, and coach Alison Nicholl is relishing the opportunity for her girls next week. “It’s a fantastic opportunity for our girls.  We are aware of how difficult the group is but we are more than up for the challenge.  We had a fantastic match against Scotland and will be taking all the positives from that game into these fixtures.”
 
When asked about the quality of opposition, Alison spoke about the Italian threat in Group 2. “Italy have proven they are a strong side and very threatening. However we have proved we can be equally dangerous.  It’s a game we are looking forward to and are excited to get underway in the Group.”
