NI manager Michael O’Neill dropped in to the Irish FA Nutty Krust Summer Soccer School at Ballyclare Secondary School to cast his eye over budding young footballers from the local area.
And before the coaching session began the children got the chance to ask the international boss some questions as well as getting advice on how to improve their skills.
“I was delighted to have been able to visit the Irish FA Nutty Krust Summer Soccer School in Ballyclare and meet all the young players,” said Michael.
“The soccer schools provide boys and girls with an excellent opportunity to learn new skills and develop as players. The programme is a vital component in the Irish FA’s grassroots strategy and by introducing children to the game at an early age and providing them with a fun and positive experience will hopefully in turn generate an interest which will keep them involved in football for life.”
The Irish FA Nutty Krust Summer Soccer Schools run at venues across Northern Ireland until the end of August. For more information visit: www.irishfasoccerschools.com
