THE Irish FA has appointed Hamilton Architects to lead the Integrated Consultant Team for the National Stadium Project.
Northern Ireland based Hamilton Architects were successful in the public procurement process and will head the team which also includes Edmond Shipway (Project Managers), ARUP (Mechanical, Electrical and Structural Engineers), Rider Levett Bucknall (Cost Consultants) and Ben Veenbrink (Stadium Design Consultancy BV).
Geoff Patterson, the Irish FA Project Sponsor for the development of the National Stadium at Windsor Park, said: “I am extremely happy to appoint Hamilton Architects to lead the Integrated Consultant Team. This was another important stage in the process and is another key target that we have met on time, keeping us on course to complete the redevelopment of Windsor Park by Summer 2015.”
Mark Haslett, Partner Hamilton Architects, said: “We are delighted to have been awarded this exciting and significant project. The Hamilton Team look forward to working with the Irish Football Association to deliver a world class facility at Windsor Park, our national football stadium.”
The public procurement for the design and building contractor begins in September 2012, concluding in July 2013.
The planning application for the redevelopment of Windsor Park is being led by the Irish FA’s Planning Consultants RPS and is due to be lodged by December 2012, with works due to commence (subject to planning) mid-Summer 2013.
