Get involved in Sport Uniting Communities

‘Sport Uniting Communities’ programme, an EU PEACE IV funded programme which aims to promote peace and reconciliation, was officially launched by Ulster Rugby, Ulster GAA and the Irish FA in March 2018.

The collaborative project between the three bodies hopes to reach 17,000 people of differing backgrounds, particularly across the political divide, with the aim of changing perceptions and building sustained relationships.

There are several Free benefits for Clubs who take part in Sport Uniting Communities such as Volunteer Development handbooks, Volunteer Development Training, Stadium Educational tours, Community Event led by professional coaches, Goldmark support and Club mark support.

On Completion of the programme each club will receive a Foundation coaching Award and GO3Hs Coaching Equipment pack.

The programme will start with an initial training day for your volunteers. Each club will commit two volunteers to attend the training day, with one being aged 16 – 24 years old.

The places are offered on a first come first serve basis. Secure your place by contacting the officer from your sport in your area.

Please see the video above of a recent Game of Three Halves event which your club can host.
