AS part of the SCORE Pilot Project, the Irish FA has teamed up with a number of girls and women’s football clubs to deliver Summer Soccer Schools.

Lisburn Ladies recently hosted a camp for 6–14 year olds at the Laurelhill Sportszone, Lisburn. In total 21 girls attended the camp which included guest appearances by Irish FA coaches Jackie Blyth and Danielle McDowell.

The SCORE Pilot Project, funded through the UEFA HatTrick programme, is a unique initiative aimed at increasing the capacity of local girls and women’s football clubs in the hope that more girls will take up the game.

To date 2,500 girls have participated in the various activities associated with the SCORE Project with the Summer Soccer Schools marking the end of the funding. It is hoped that further funding will be secured to run a similar programme next year.

If you would like further information about the Summer Soccer Schools please contact IRISH FA Women’s Football Placement Student, Danielle McDowell: or 028 90 684 725.
