FOLLOWING their involvement with the SCORE Pilot Project, Bangor Ladies FC recently announced that they will be setting up a new academy for girls aged 1014.

The SCORE Pilot Project, funded through the UEFA HatTrick programme, is a unique initiative aimed at improving the capacity of local women’s clubs and assisting them to establish links to primary and post primary schools in their area.

As part of the project, Sophie McGuile, Dawn Clarke and Rebecca Adams will undertake their Irish FA Level 1 Coaching Award this week at Solitude under the guidance of Irish FA Grassroots Development Officer Sean Paul Murray.  Following completion of their Level 1, the three coaches will then help to train the girls at the newly established academy.

The Bangor Ladies Academy will commence on Sunday 16 September at Bangor SportsPlex from 1.00pm–2.15pm.  Further information can be obtained by contacting Andy Craig:
