A 2nd week of football in Craigavon borough took place at the Kernan Playing Fields in Portadown last week.
Just under 90 young footballers enjoyed five days of a fun packed camp with the weather thankfully improving as the week went on.
The camp was delivered by the IFA’s Grassroots team in Craigavon and was co-ordinated by Grassroots Development Officer Keith Gibson.
Keith commented: “The standard this week was excellent with many players who play in the Games Development Centre for local clubs coming along to start getting ready for the new season. We also had an excellent group of Junior High aged players who have mostly been coming along for 6 or 7 years now. It’s great to see how much they have developed year on year. Also a big thanks to Craigavon Parks staff who couldn’t have been more helpful all week”
The summer soccer schools continue next week with Lurgan Park being the venue and then Loughgall Country Park the following week. Further details and booking available at www.irishfasoccerschools.com
