CLUB SCORES WITH NEW GIRLS ACADEMY

FOLLOWING on from the success of the SCORE Pilot Project, Chimney Corner / Knockbreda Ladies have set up a football academy to cater for girls aged 5 - 14.

As the only women's football club in the Antrim area the provision of a girls section is a welcome addition to the locality.

Debbie Beggs - Goodman, the SCORE coach for the club worked hard during the last couple of months to raise the profile of the club within the local primary and post primary schools.

 A number of players joined the club as a result of this coaching and more importantly the club established important contacts with the schools.

The academy runs every Saturday morning from 10.30am - 11.45am at Chimney Corner Football Club and is free of charge.

Chimney Corner / Knockbreda Ladies currently play in Division 1 of the NIWFA Euro Electrix League and the club always welcomes new senior players too!
